The Road Show marketing team handles the logistics and
invitation process for 800+ seminars/events annually nationwide.
Usually single day group meetings, these events provide an important
venue for 200+ Prudential's wholesalers to deliver continuing education
credits along with sales and marketing content to financial advisors
around the country. There is no on site event management required -
this aspect is handled directly by the individual wholesaler.
- This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to impact
the sales organization positively through efficient use of resources.
- As a Manager, this individual will be expected to bring new ideas, best
practices and fresh perspectives to the role.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Individual contributor and manager of 3-person road
show/event team.
- Partner with sales teams in four-distribution channels to
ensure seminars are handled on time and as planned.
- Work with field sales staff to determine most appropriate
venues, set-ups and speakers.
- Manage contract negotiations with selected venues and
properties with respect to meeting facilities, food and beverage
selections, A/V equipment, set-up etc.
- Manage the internal approval of outside speakers and the
booking
- Manage the invitation process (creation, internal client
and compliance approvals, printing and distribution via direct mail and
email
- Coordinate with the internal Prudential Annuities
Continuing Education development and administration teams
- Manage the online registration process for specific events
- Maintain regular event related communication (telephone
and email) with the Prudential Annuities sales organization.
- Maintain event statistics, develop performance metrics,
and conduct periodic analysis to determine usage, trends and value-add
to the sales organization.
- Manage outside vendor relationships
- Create weekly activity reports.
- Participate in monthly new sales personnel orientation
program to advise on the role of the road show planning function.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and determine
suitability and applicability for use at Prudential Annuities
- Special projects as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a road show/event planning role.
- Ability to partner with others, identify/anticipate needs
and proactively provide support
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- Familiarity with the financial services industry
- Strong written, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Bachelor's Degree
